While Aretha was singing in Washington...
...here's what was going on in South Dakota:
Socinian n: 1: an adherent of an early Protestant movement that denied the divinity of Christ and held rationalistic views of sin and salvation. 2: an adherent of similar theological views, esp. : a a Christian who rejects orthodox Christian doctrines of the divinity of Christ, the Trinity and original sin; b a Unitarian. 3: an occasional journal of liberal religion, liberal politics, outdoor recreation, and other musings.

That was great, Fausto, thanks.
It only just occurred to me now, as a result of reading the Abraham Lincoln, Universalist? post on Steven R's 'A Southern "Universalist Church" History' blog that Mount Rushmore not only portrays one more or less bona fide famous Unitarian aka famous U*U but at least two apparent White Supremacist U.S. Presidents. . . It would appear that a number of Unitrian*Universalists, hopefully only one. . . are in the process of attempting to claim the second apparent White Supremacist U.S. President as a famous Universalist. Unitarian*Universalists may not want to try *too* hard to claim Abraham Lincoln as a "famous Universalist" aka "famous Unitarian*Universalist" aka a "famous U*U" for the simple reason that his credentials as a White Supremacist are quite well established. Unitarian*Universalists already have at least one apparent White Supremacist numbered amongst the ranks of "famous Unitarians" and Unitarian Presidents namely Thomas Jefferson. . .
